About Ashford Yoga
Lorna is a Diploma qualified Yoga teacher affiliated with the British Wheel of Yoga. She teaches Hatha yoga (yoga of movement) from beginners through to intermediates in group classes and in one to one sessions. She incorporates the importance of the body and breath as a link to the mind. She enjoys exploring with a variety of styles so that her students can experience the many different ways to deepen their own experiences with yoga.
Her classes are friendly and non-competitive, and everyone is encouraged to work within their limitations with modifications and variations to deepen or lighten their own asana practice. Yoga classes with Lorna are a true inspiration. She promotes a sense of calm and spirituality and has given me the confidence to feel good about my body. She tailors the poses to suit individuals and is aware of any adjustments for any ailments we might have. I am really feeling the benefits of her classes. They are relaxed and friendly and the perfect escape from the pressures of everyday life. I have a bad back, and shoulder and knee….and I have felt very looked after as she suggests modifications at every step and uses props so that I can… Read more »

A very friendly and relaxed class. Lorna is professional and an extremely competent instructor. She has time for everyone and helps her students with their poses if they need it. I find the whole yoga experience very beneficial and I would highly recommend this class to all.
I have no hesitation in recommending Lorna – her guidance and teaching-style are ideal for beginners; calm, supportive and with a sense of humour thrown in. If I lived closer, I’d live to come along!
Lorna has a kind and thoughtful approach to her teaching. She creates a beautiful calm environment allowing her students to find peace in class. Her sense of humour makes everyone feel at home. I’ve enjoyed my classes with her.
I am student on the same course with Lorna. Already you can see Lornas natural caring approach to her yoga emerging. Her style makes you feel reassured that she is there with you on your yoga journey. I would be happy to attend her classes.
If you have been thinking about yoga for a long-time but a bit nervous to start then I can recommend Lorna’s class. Thanks to her gentle nature and simple instructions she makes you feel at ease from the start. There is a lovely feeling in the class and the course is progressive but we never force our bodies . She keeps the group small so that she has time to explain and correct peoples posture. I tried a course much nearer to my house but I prefer to take the longer journey to Lorna’s class. I can highly recommend it… Read more »

My daughter and I joined Lorna’s beginners yoga class together and thoroughly enjoy the small group and calm, mindful start to our busy weekends. During each lesson we are taught some new poses and Lorna is attentive to each of us to ensure we are following correctly and achieving the most benefit for our body from the pose. I would definitely recommend her beginners class to anyone thinking of starting yoga – you will receive a warm welcome.

I found Lorna extremely welcoming and very knowledgeable. She guides you through each pose in an easy follow and structured way, offering valuable tips and adaptations for all abilities. Lorna also places a lot of focus on the mindfulness that comes from yoga. I felt so at home I immediately booked a block… Read more »
