Relax, reset and recharge with this blissful combination of Yin Yoga and Sound Bath workshop + Nasal Cleansing + Mantra Meditation (with Fruit Social)
Combining Yin postures and sound bath resonance enhances the natural mindfulness associated with the Yin practice.
This was a beautiful two hours thirty minutes Yin session working into the body restoring balance, releasing blockages and letting go of things that no longer serve us, allowing whatever comes to move on freely, without holding on in any way. If we do not pass on, we are trying to block the flow, and that’s when we feel burdened, and ‘stuck’, this effects our physical body and mental balance. Yin yoga practice has its roots in Taoism, where tissues and energy lines called meridians are compressed during long held static poses. Coming out of each pose, a ‘rebound’ surge of energy helps ‘release’ and dislodge blockages returning us to a state of ‘flow’ as energy passes freely through the subtle energy body, re-establishing balance. During the practice, you will ‘tune-in’ to each chakra through the deep sounds made by singing bowls specifically pitched to that chakra’s frequency. This is done while holding Yin poses, which work deeply into the connective tissues of the body, or ‘fascia’. Water molecules in the fascia respond to the vibration and frequency of the bowls encouraging the body to open and release further.
After Yin Yoga and Sound Bath workshop, we would have the Mantra Meditation
The practice closed with a relaxing 10-minute relaxation, using the sound of beautiful master bowls with their deep resonant tones and low frequency vibrations to take the body’s brain function into Alpha or Theta brainwaves. Theta waves are produced when you’re in a very deeply relaxed state of mind – such as when meditating. Similarly, Alpha waves occur when you’re not asking your brain to process a lot of information – a state of wakeful rest – such as meditation. The low and gentle frequency of playing the master bowls helps encourage these states. If you find meditation challenging this may help you. At the end of the session you will feel relaxed, re-set and recharged with a sense of free-flowing energy and balance.
