Imbolc Shamanic Circle
Imbolc Shona Daoidh! The winter wind may still carry a biting chill, but we might feel energised as the days get a little longer. At this session, we will come together in circle as we approach Imbolc, the Celtic fire festival that takes place on 1st-2nd February. Imbolc is a celebration of the return to light and it’s the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. The celtic goddess Brigid is associated with Imbolc and she represents fire, creativity and renewal.
We take a nod to Brigid as we get creative with a craft activity, weaving our own Brigid Crosses to take away and keep. Traditionally, these were hung above the doors of peoples homes to offer protection. During this time we will drink some delicious herbal tea, share chocolate and have an informal, optional sharing circle.
The session will then close with a seasonal, shamanic meditation and journaling exercise. Please wear warm comfy clothing and bring a note book and pen.
