Divali – Festival of LIghts

Join me for a 2-hour workshop diving deep into Divali – the Hindu Festival of Lights marking the triumph of good over evil. The festival has its origins in the Indian epic the Ramayana which tells the story of the prince Rama and his consort Sita. They are sent into exile where Sita is kidnapped by an evil demon. With the help of half man half divine monkey Hanuman Rama rescues his love and together they return to their kingdom. To guide them there the inhabitants, light the way with lamps.
Through stories and with the practice of asanas, Pranayama. Meditation and mudras we shall mark this auspicious event and also give thanks to the goddess Lakshmi for all that we have and should be grateful for.
