About Kate Cassar ReCharge Yoga Flow

My classes are influenced by Core Strength Vinyasa® system which is a modern transitional (non-linear) style of yoga that uses cutting edge anatomy and something called the four foundations. During my classes we work 'holistically' and so this is perfect for those who may find many modern Vinyasa and some traditional yoga styles rigid/dogmatic in nature and, overwhelming on their joints. We work closely with deep connective tissue (fascia) and we learn to decompress the joints as we move and flow. This makes for a much safer practice! Each student is guided by their own body/intuition and given the tools to explore their own parameters. This really 'lights up' each student. We use wave and spiral, flowing moves around the mat that release tension, increases energy levels, confidence and helps with unwanted 'baggage' in our mind and body. This intrinsic and extrinsic effect can help lift our spirit and move us away from a 'stuck' place , not just from moving around on the yoga but also helping us with everyday challenges off the mat!

I enjoy music and so use music to inspire and lift the class spirits.

I have over 20 years experience behind me in the Health, Wellness and Fitness world as a former Exercise Specialist, Massage therapist, dancer and Group Fitness Teacher. I have also trained with some very forward thinking, influential and knowledgeable experts in the field of Fitness, health and Yoga.

The class is suitable for beginners and improvers or those would like to try a different perspective on yoga flow. There is loads of room to challenge yourself but equally we spend time readjusting and balancing everything out via active rest techniques! Everyone works at their own unique pace and we use aids (such as blocks) to support our body when needed.
